An Easter Bloom

An Easter Bloom

By Sister Margaret Murphy, OSB

In and out
the deserts of our lives,
Though support we know,
Dry and sandy
Hot and lonely,
In solitude we grow.
Like the desert cactus,
Reaching out
Branching up,
Roots deep, deeper yet,
In silent waiting, letting go,
We, like cactus
A resurrection,
An Easter bloom!
