The Sisters of St. Benedict invite you to lovely Benet House Retreat Center, at St. Mary Monastery, Rock Island, Illinois. Built in 2001 as a place apart to seek the Holy One, Benet House offers a setting of peace, beauty and tranquility for any retreat or program you choose. Benet House is situated atop a hill overlooking woods and lake. Walking paths provide you with quiet and solitude. Private rooms provide you with sanctuary. You are welcome to join the community in the monastery chapel for Lauds, Noon Prayer, Vespers and Eucharist. Our library is open to you, as is our dining room for lunch and dinner. A common kitchen at Benet House will be stocked with breakfast items and snacks for your convenience.

Private Retreats Experience the Lord in an atmosphere of prayer, quiet and relaxation. Choose a day, a weekend or longer, and call for availability. Fee: $45.00 per night (includes meals).

Directed Retreats A spiritual director will guide your retreat as you focus on your spiritual journey with the Lord. Choose a day, a weekend or longer, and call for availability. Fee: $45.00 per night (includes meals) plus $25.00 to $50.00 per session of spiritual direction.

Group Retreats Bring a group of not more than 25 people (for a day program) or 12 people (for overnight) for your own retreat program. You may bring your own director or have a staff member lead you. Please call for pricing.

Spiritual Direction Grow in your relationship with God with a certified, experienced spiritual director. Fee: $25.00 to $50.00 per session.

Centering Prayer Practice the ancient prayer leading to contemplation. Mondays, 7-8:30 p.m.

Benedictine Oblates Women and men committed to Benedictine values meet monthly. Call for information. Second Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m.; Fourth Saturdays, 9-11 a.m.

Outreach Trained, experienced personnel will come to your location to conduct workshops and lead retreats. Call for information.
