Richard Rohr, the best-selling author and speaker can't be present at Benet House to direct a retreat! HOWEVER, he will be present through his DVD video presentation on the Legacy of St. Francis. In five video segments you will explore a Christian faith informed by contemplation, mysticism, compassion, justice and centuries of rich, Christian history. This 3 day retreat will include time for quiet reflection, group discussion of Rohr's presentations, community prayer and full immersion into Franciscan spirituality. Facilitators: William Maakestad, St. Mary Monastery Oblate, a 2015 graduate of Richard Rohr's 'The Living School' at the Center for Action and Contemplation; Sr. Virginia Heldorfer, OSF who has studied Franciscan Spirituality at Washington Theological Center and has co-facilitated Franciscan Way of Life, a two year formation process for people who desire to live the Gospel values of peace, joy, community, respect for creation, prayer/contemplation through the eyes of St. Francis of Assisi which leads to on-going conversion; and Sr. Pat Doody, OSF, a Sister of St. Francis of Dubuque, Iowa who is currently a member of the congregation's Franciscan Charism team working in vocation and formation ministry.
