Oblate Formation Stages

By God's grace I am what I am. Rule of Benedict

Inquiry
During this stage the inquirer is invited to study the Rule of St. Benedict and its application to daily life.

Candidacy
Following the introductory period, the inquirer becomes a candidate in the oblate community. As a candidate, awareness of Benedictine spirituality deepens through prayer, reading, and participation at meetings.

Oblation
Together with the director, the candidate discerns readiness to make a final commitment to be a faithful witness of Christ and live the Benedictine values with the support of the Benedictine community.
