Recently I was involved in giving a Busy Person’s Retreat at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA.  It was a terrific experience and I companioned 7 girls and 2 guys.  It was kind of experience that renewed my hope that young people are interested in  deepening their spirituality and relationship with God.

Sr. Katherine Keogel 1920-2010

Our Sr. Katherine Keogel died Monday, Oct. 10, at the monastery. A true firebrand in her passion for righting social injustices, Sr. Katherine was the best friend of the downtrodden … but maybe not always welcomed by the powers that be.

Yesterday Sr. Margaret evoked such a wonderful image of Sisters leaving for their ministries after prayers every morning, nourished by praying Lauds together. It’s the perfect image of our lives together!
